Collection: Cooking Class
More than a class. A taste of home.
Our cooking classes are not just about learning recipes they are about connection. Connection to culture, to community, and to the stories that food carries. Mama Akua welcomes you into the kitchen the way she learned from her mother in Ghana with warmth, patience, and a deep love for the traditions behind every dish.

Why We Teach
We believe food is a bridge. It connects us to our roots, to each other, and to the stories that shape us. Each class is a way to preserve Ghanaian culinary traditions while making them accessible to anyone who wants to learn. Whether you grew up with these flavours or are discovering them for the first time, you will leave with more than just a recipe - you will leave with a story, a skill, and a memory.

Cooking for Everyone
No experience? No problem. Our classes are designed for all skill levels, with step-by-step, hands-on guidance. Mama Akua keeps group sizes intimate so you get plenty of personal attention. Every class is a welcoming, inclusive space because in our kitchen, everyone is family.
Cooking with History
The dishes you learn are the same ones Mama Akua learned as a child in Ghana. Recipes passed down through generations, cooked slowly and intentionally, always with love. Every ingredient has a purpose. Every step tells a story. And every bite connects you to something bigger than yourself.
